Application
Ardabond Maxi is suitable for bonding ceramic small- and large-format wall tiles.
Processing
Substrate: Substrates must be dry, remain dry, clean, dust- and grease-free. They should be stable under compression, shape, and tension. Irregularities greater than 3 mm should be leveled. Gypsum-based and highly absorbent substrates may contain a maximum of 2% moisture. These substrates should be primed with Ardagrip Classic. Old tiled walls are also suitable substrates. Clean and prime old tiles with Ardagrip Xpress.
Application: Do not apply Ardabond Maxi if ambient or substrate temperature is below +5°C. Apply adhesive using a notched trowel. Press the tile into the adhesive ridges within 20 minutes with a sliding motion. Choose the notch depth so that each tile is covered with at least 65% adhesive. On porous walls, grouting can begin after at least 24 hours. Non-porous substrates may require longer drying times.
Tool cleaning: Remove adhesive residues immediately and clean tools with water.
