Bostik S960 Silicone Non Staining is a versatile, professional-grade silicone sealant, specially developed for durable sealing of a wide range of joints and connections. Thanks to its non-staining formula, it is ideal for use on sensitive surfaces such as natural stone, without the risk of edge contamination.
This sealant is suitable for sealing, among others:
- Natural stone (such as marble and granite)
- Concrete and masonry
- Connection joints in curtain wall systems
- Glazing constructions
- Kitchens, bathrooms, and shower areas
- Industrial sealing applications
Application Tips
For optimal adhesion, ensure the substrate is clean, dry, grease-free, and solid. Clean the surface with a suitable cleaner if needed. On non-porous substrates, the S960 adheres well without primer. Porous surfaces do require a suitable primer, such as Seal-It Primer 520.
When applying the sealant, protect surrounding surfaces that will be painted later by masking them off to prevent silicone contamination. After application, the sealant can be finished smoothly using a finishing agent and spatula. Uncured residue can be wiped off with cleaning wipes; cured sealant must be removed mechanically.
Note
Bostik S960 is not suitable for substrates such as PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene, and bituminous materials.
Storage and Shelf Life
When properly stored in a dry place between 5°C and 25°C and in unopened original packaging, Bostik S960 has a shelf life of up to 12 months from the production date.
